By Van Gogh. It's quite emotional to see one of your favorite paintings up close.

Me at Carrie Bradshaw's apartment

We're on the Sex and the City tour. The apartment is at Bleecker and Perry. They dont really shoot here, instead they do it at studio in Queens. We also devoured some heavenly cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery.

If you visit the Met museum, don't forget to go up at the rooftop when the weather is good like today (75 and overcast). Its a pain to find the elevator though, so keep your map handy. The view up there is worth seeing, since its right next to Central Park.

Its been a long day, I think the fireworks starts at 9pm. Crowds are manageable today because of the holiday.

NYC or bust!

So here we are waiting at MCO for our 7:30am flight. I've only had 3 hours of sleep but that doesn't seem to matter when it comes to flying for me. Any opportunity I get to fly out of Orlando is a much rejoiced occasion.

I haven't been in NYC for three years, so trying to find info about the latest and greatest about the city is a research project in itself. Of course, there's the ever reliable New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com) but for more specific searches and guide lists, I head over to these sites for meaty info. The Village Voice (http://www.villagevoice.com) is a daily print edition of the city offerings, thick and chockfull of insightful stories and best-of lists. It also doesn't fail to put that nasty black newspaper grime on your fingers. Time Out New York (http://www.timeout.com/newyork) is more elegant to hold and read because of its glossy magazine format. For people who do not like to chop trees to gather info, I like NYC Craigslist (http://nyc.craigslist.org), and no description is necessary for this wonderful community/garage sale/jobs/theplanetifitwereafleamarket.
